Hi friends! this is my very first post , beside the introduction one, so please forgive me if I'm not doing properly...

I tryied to reproduce an old photo and it was really hard to me to have a good perception of the shades from that poor contrast picture and I was in troubles doing that (maybe) wool fabric texture. I tried a lot of homemade stencils from what I had at home that day...but actually I ended doing a sort of figure-8 everywhere

I hope that there will be some good constructive criticisms from you all...

ah that guy is Gaetano Benedetti

    best regards

    Welcome
you have done a good job.
    The texture looks good.
His white shirt does not look ready yet.
It looks too flat now, A few light shadows will bring the work together more.
Don't get it wrong try to help.:)

The texture and facial forms look great Lucio! Nice job. I think a small light shadow under his shirt collar will work really well to finish that part. Great piece of art.

    @erwin de pan , @SiRoxx
    I really appreciate your feedback!!
I didn't notice anything about the flatness of the collar until you two said something about that...
    Now it's so clear!!!
Maybe I was afraid because i feel that it's so easy to get it too "dirty"...
@erwin de pan And nothing to complain dear friend, i NEED to listen and learn

Sometimes you need a few fresh eyes.
It helps to view the photos that you take of your work in mirror image.
Or put the work away and watch it a couple of days later.

No problem at all. It doesn’t detract from the great piece that you’ve produced. It’s just a little touch that would be cool.
