I ordered a California Air Tool Compressor and it is due to arrive on the 12th. I got the 1 hp with an 8 gallon tank. If it is way too loud I will return it and use the cash for a 1/2 hp refrigerator compressor to add to an old set of tanks. My old Sears Craftsman is just way too loud for in the house.

Good stuff. We've started getting more option with that motor and the distributor says it's going great. The 3/4hp with a 1.6gal tanks are the most popular. That's basically what's I've been using for 7 years now, just a different sticker on the tank.

Exciting when you have new equipment on the way. I had a California Air Tools compressor before I got my Silent-Aire, the one with two small tanks stacked onto each other, and at the time I was in a upstairs apartment and it was too loud and shook the floor. So I just bit the bullet and got the 50-24. If your in a house they are a little quieter than a pancake compressor, but not by a drastic amount.

Yes it is way quieter than my pancake compressor. I will post the video I did.
