My newest most expensive addition to my collection is finally home. It arrived yesterday, but all I got was a card in my front porch door about stopping by the Post Office since I wasn't there to sign for it.

Really want to try it out, but that will have to wait for tomorrow as I'm tired now. I have sleep issues and last night was pretty bad. So rather than drop, bend, or break something, I'll rest up and see what a new day brings.
RTFM (reading the fine manual) then take it carefully apart to see how things go together. Perhaps even paint a bit with it. :D It feels wonderful in the hand and the trigger operates smoothly. Very excited, but I can't stop yawning :(

I have and use 2 of the Infinity's. Only ones I'll use now. I've not had a problem with either one except the 15 needle is a little on the touchy side for tip bending. Just have to tip clean very easy.

I never intended to say the "F" in RTFM actually meant 'fine' either. I have had to substitute "fine" in conversations at work for a great many years to avoid offense. Obviously I was really REALLY tired at the point I posted this thread.lol
@JackEb You have THE license plate!
Well I better get my daily chores settled so I can start playing...

Now I’m going to have to geek out and ask if that is an MX5 / Miata?

Update: Well, the H&S Infinity is definitely not a Badger. ( Thank you Captain Obvious)
Took the thing apart to see how things fit and it's really nice. Put it back together and put paint in it. Paint started leaking out. Got to learn how to thoroughly clean the airbrush really quick. So, in round two, I put distilled water in the cup and tried it out. No obvious leaks this time, but the airbrush resembled a bubble pipe in the paint cup when I hit the air. Eventually, I discovered I had to really tighten up the air cap to prevent the bubbling. Almost to the point where I'd considered using pliers.
I like the way it fits in my hand. The trigger is smooth and seems to have a more linear response on the amount of paint with increased pull than my Patriot. Getting better at the right paint/reducer ratio, too. Test page looked washed out as heck, but at least it's better than spitting and splattering. My lines were lines instead of a series of dots. The brush actually responded to the trigger pull instead of really having to pull back and suddenly getting a large splat of paint due to tip dry. Overshot on the amount of reducer tonight for sure, but I'll get that honed in soon.

Still feel like a gorilla driving a Mercedes, but wow.
Question: Is that amount of tightening "normal" for H&S brushes in general?

Yes, Some bees wax or chap stick on the threads makes it seal better, But it likes to be tight.
Which head are you using on it the .15 or the .4?

I used the 0.15. Was concerned that I was using too much force, but that was the only thing that worked. The back of the nozzle with that Teflon washer just sits flat against the body and that's what seals the paint channel from the air channel.
I saw some YouTube video on cleaning an H&S brush and I'm glad I saw it. Was the first time I have seen anyone pull the needle through the front of the airbrush. My needle had a bit of paint on it.

What sort of paint are you running thru it? I know from experience (my paint table will always have a red tint to it... ;) ) that the .15 is pretty picky about your reduction expertise. I've never had any issues with either of mine not sealing.
I'm glad you had a similar first experience to mine. I swear my first time with my Infinity made me a better airbrusher lol.
