The set up - Iwata neo and a particularly rubbish compressor. The water trap isn't very effective and it appears to be running at 3bar with trigger open.
Problem no2 - On removing the needle for cleaning there is paint on the needle where it would be sat, between the cup and the trigger.

set up..... 3 bar /43psi should be enough if you have your paint thinned enough.
if you are getting paint behind the trigger then the packing nut (#6) may need tightening / replacing
