Hello.
I am Olvi, and I am from Romania.
I am 25 (I said that in 2013), and counting ..
How do I started in brushing??
Hard part. 1st I wanted someone to paint my motorcycle helmet, then I was thinking what if I learn how to paint my helmet and this way to save some money? I walk around internet and youtube, and found some guys that explains some techniques and tips and tricks. This thing happened 3 months ago, something like that. I found at work two bottom feed airbrushes, run all over to the next shop and buy a set of com-art 10 colors set and start doing .. what do you think?? exactly .. the most amazing thing in airbrushing, the master DOT.
I have watched all the AirbrushTutor tutorials and learn a lot of stuff, this way I just want to thank you very much, because after I have discovered you, I am not holding the airbrush like a f***ing broken neck mongoose anymore.
Hardly I get some money to buy a diamond : Iwata Eclipse HP-CS 0.3 mm, already broken two needles :p
As a compressor I have my own invention witch is working great, somehow. I got a fridge compressor from a friend, an empty air tank, oil and air filters, put them all together and i got a brand new very very silence compressor. The problem is that it gets hot very fast, after 1-1.5 hours of working it is not starting anymore because it is very very hot and I have to wait to cool down, just not sure why, but I was thinking to add one or two more fridge compressors in parallel to get it to the next level :).
I start doing some dots and lines, some daggers .. and then I have started painting the eyes, about 10 of them, i still have 2 of them, then two skulls and now working at a new project, the wolf that is on youtube from cross eyed. When I get time I will upload the pictures with my previous work.
I have to say that I never paint something except the 1st-8th grade at school. This came up simply by my passion to paint my helmet and motorcycle, but the problem is that my future wife waits me at home while I am airbrushing at work after working hours. The time really flies away when I am painting. Can`t stop .. that`s it.

this is my story, hope I have not bothered you, usually I do not write so much. Anyway sorry for my bad English hope you understand what I am trying to say.

untill I will take photos to my eyes ... here are some examples of my work. the wolf is still in progress.

HAHAHhaHaha! The ole' broken necked mongoose. Yeah that won't work!
Great to have you on here Olvi, thanks for the cool introduction!
I really look the look of your wolf and look forward to seeing what you come up with in the near future:emmersed: It really boosts me alot to see when people say i'm the reason they began or kept airbrushing, feels like i'm having a good effect on people's lives:) thanks mate, if you have any questions just fire away!

Hey Olvi, welcome to the forum from the uk. As you've already discovered, you just got a new addiction. Maybe your future wife should learn too, that way she can still get to see you Lol!

welcome from honduras, hope you can call this place home as i do!!!by the way great job until now!!!:triumphant:

the reason I made that fridge compressor is to start brushing at home, so it will be silent and my neighbour can rest, but by now I am leaving just in a room so there is no place doing that, in about a month or two will move to an apartment with two rooms where one room will be my working shop.

i really have one, nearby I cannot find any createx products, I would like to get autoair, but I am not sure if is needed, so I want to ask you what is the difference between comart paints and createx autoair, is there is any?
I got to buy createx from ebay and it is not so nice to wait 1 month for paints to arrive.Still there is another option o get some very f******ing expensive house of kolor from a dealer next to me, but still it answers my emails very hard.
I still learn how to use the airbrush, but I want to learn how to use the paints too.

I wish i could help mate, i haven't used com-art - but i have heard good things about it! I strongly recommend createx illustration colours, however i also hear that etac paints are amazing also.. why don't you just get yourself a sample of the com-art - by a black, white and blue and see how they work for now? if you don't have problems, then get the rest of them? i wouldn't wait a month for paints either.

Hey Olvi, welcome to the forum from England, HOK are urethane based which means you will need extraction and a proper mask to paint with because of the toxic fumes. Comart should be good to start off with and its reasonably priced. The correct consistency is as thick as milk, but most of us will make it slightly thinner for fine airbrushes. I would steer away from basic Createx, but their illustration range is supposed to be good. Auto Air isn't too bad, but you could still have problems. I use etac fx range most of the time its flows really well. Depends on what you are painting on and what you want to do with it really. As for getting your paint my friend Mick Neill supplies airbrush paint and equipment here in England, I know he posts overseas so give him a shout and he may be able to send paint to you at a reasonable cost. He is a member on the site but if you want his contact details I can sort it out. I'm sure others will also help out with suggestions so you will have loads of options.

Hi olvi welcome from the netherlands :)
Your latest wolf looks good, but the eye looks a bit small, you might want to check it, stuff like this can distract you from the fact this is pretty good for 3 months :)
