Paasche bakelite handles

Another question for the historians - My wife recently got me an antique Paasche VL as a gift. It has their green marble-looking bakelite handle. I have the vague idea that Paasche was making airbrushes with these handles in the 50s and 60s, but does anyone have a more exact date range?

The green was earlier - maybe late 30's to the mid 50's. I am pretty sure they were using red by the mid 50's...
