Trusting the person to say by or with is a whole other issue

Sure. It was an a video from a site called Airbrush Asylum. The guy has some amazing work. It’s in the automotive field and they do classes etc. He knows what he’s doing so that part of it is fine, but he used that 70% example haha and needless to say, I was lost.

Hard to say, I find generally if somebody says reduce 70 percent, the with is implied.
If someone says reduced 70% the by is usually implied.

And most people seem to stick with "with" unless its 50 percent.
And by if they are showing you a total amount.

Well on urethane I use mixing cups being 90% of the time I am mixing for the spray gun when I shot it.

True, mixing cups that come with most systems just use ratios though. The only ones I've seen with percentage are the by method.

Off of a video, it leaves plenty of room for confusion for everybody. I think were all in your boat siroxx
