Looking very good to me. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Richard. I still like yours better but it is alot better than my first attempt.
My dragon is almost done. I have to finish the background and tighten some lines up on the dragon itself.
Well i decide i wanted some color in mine so here it is so far. Next pic will be a completed piece.
I like what you are doing with this dragon and I cant spot anything wrong
Thanks Ronald. Its taking me longer than i want but im going slow and trying to get everything right. I need to find a color reference of a dragon for the scales. All these colors so far have been from how i see how the dragon would look in my head.
there is nothing wrong with taking more time than you actually want , it is about learning and playing and in your case a extra bonus by using your artistic freedom by turning a monochrome into a colored piece with those transparent colors
Still looking great Rick. The colour is cool so far, slow and steady wins the race Dude.

It only gets better. I wont get a chance to work on it again until Sunday afternoon. Work sucks...
Work sucks for sure..mine is still sitting half done. Hopefully get some done this weekend
Definitely working hours doesn’t help
I know it well...
And it’s doesn’t matter if you’re quick or slow.
Everybody is different.
I’m very slow, but some artists can paint very quick and they’re great
Can’t wait to see your final dragon piece
They changed my hours saturday so i got to get a little more done.
looking good Rick. I worked on mine last night and fear I made a booboo I cant fix...grrrrrrr
Well lets see it..if its on tera slate it can probably be fixed. If it cant finish it anyway. Then look at it and then you know what and what not to do next time.
ill get a pic posted in a bit. Its on terraslate. Bad thing is I was practicing with 4030 in my mix and thought wow this is spraying good, so I grabbed my dragon and went at it..Yea, 4030 makes erasing a bit tough.
Oh yeah it doesnt erase well at all. If your really careful you can get away with a scratch brush, but go really slow when you do it.
This may end up a what not to do picture.... I thought I was doing well with it too....Grrrrrrr
Mistakes make masterpiece artists down the road my friend. Keep pushing along. My dragon has a story to it that will come out when its finished.
So under the eye was the big booboo...I erased or tried and repainted..looked bad so erased again then this big chunk came out. May try the elec eraser and clear that whole area..I doubt it’s gonna work. Pretty frustrated
I think you will be ok with it. Just use light layers to build back up and use that as a texture spot.
