I struggle with transparent colors, second color layer (transparent) usually increases saturation in the texture or in the shadow color. I am studying Rafa's vids and I finally realised he avoid that by using contrary color bias in each layer (for example: greenish shadow, reddish highlight).

If you’re increasing saturation and you don’t want too, just use the compliment to de saturation but still darken (transparents always darken)
