    got my classroom in a box from Dru Blair. Knocked this out way too quick but I had to play. I will say the video lessons are awesome! Great for beginner and advanced alike. Going to give it another go tonight or next week. I: super excited and went ahead and got the hair video as well. This eye I only used printer paper as I want d to conserve the Blair paper for when I have more trigger time....lol

    great job Joe, you could also do this on the glass, you'd have better ability to scratch the details.

    That’s a great idea. I also have some mdf I primered. I have a ton of it. Or, just use the paper that was included...lol

    Thats why we suggest that you date and save everything you do :) its a great confidence boost to see the improvements.

    Just remember that the included paper is double sided, so you can 'practise' on one side of it, but i'm like you, I save it until I know I can do the paper justice :D

    Good tip about both sides. I really do want to try it as if I like it I may order more..but man it ain’t cheap

    lol, i forget you're not all familiar with aussie slang :)

    I've used windex on synthetic paper a month later and its still removed 99% of it. Red can be a bugga, it stains the paper.

    With, definately with.
    Non amonia if youre using it to clean your brush, with amonia for texturing paint or 'wiping the slate clean' - Use the amonia one too for cleaning the glass when your done with that too.

    Do t forget that printer paper is no good for Dru’s techniques, you did a great job considering you can’t erase on that stuff!!

    Thanks buddy..I’m trying hard to catch up to you! Finally starting to not get so frustrated and having fun..all that matters. I wish I had more time to paint!

    Funny thing happened at work today. I use big spray guns at work all day long. The beast is a Kremlin air assisted paint pumping beast...so, I’m spraying and all of the sudden I picked at the needle....lmao! Obviously nothing to pick at but it was like it just happened. I chuckled out loud and my boss looks at me like I’m going crazy. It was 98 in the shop today with 100% humidity...so yea, I may have been loopy a bit. The amount of paint this puts out is insane. Today I went thru 7 gallons of paint. Primer , paint, and lacquer. I really need to start wearing my mask...ughhh it’s just soooo hot

    You went through 7 gallons with no mask? I'm assuming your setup is a big awesome spray booth, but even with that, you're insane.. Just my opinion.

    Dude, you’re doing better than catching up!
    It’s funny how the picking becomes almost a habit. Sounds like that sucker shifts a hell of a lot of paint. Next time I need to paint the side of a barn I’ll give you a shout.

    Giant spray booth, and honestly the overspray never has a chance to get to me the way it’s set up. On occasion it gets me and I pay for it. I really do need to wear it more often..heck, all the time. When I have my back towards the filters I wear it because the spray then has to pass thru me to get filtered. When the heats not so bad I wear it all the time. The amount of sweat in my mask feels like it’s drowning me. I will say the boss gets on my case quite a bit about it.

    In my defense, it’s not as toxic as car paint. I’m painting cabinets and we use what’s called a conversion varnish. The reducers and cleaners are pretty tame compared to say 2k.

    Are you using one of those self contained air supplied ones or just the nose/mouth kind? I've never been in any atmosphere like that so I'm sure it sucks more than I imagine.
