I don't remember anyone mentioned this airbrush, so here it is

The Sparmax GP-70 is a side fed, pistol grip airbrush with continuous double action, a large 0.7mm nozzle & removable 80ml side mount paint cup. The GP-70's large nozzle makes it suited to coverage / large area work & makes it ideal for work such as heavy priming, body art & spray tanning.

The GP-70 is fitted with an adjustable pre-set rear handle - this can be adjusted to limit paint flow.

* 80ml Paint Cup
* Foam Lined Storage Case
* Nozzle Spanner
* Cleaning brush

So...... is this a potential purchase you are considering ?
I was looking at that site what kinda airbrushes with big nozzle they have and I stumbled on this one.

I am more interested in Mr Procon Boy LWA Trigger Airbrush (PS-290), but I do wonder if 0.5 on Procon or 0.7 on GP-70 makes any difference. I was hoping we will have some member with GP-70 to share his/hers experience with GP-70. Iwata Vault HP-TH2 is to expensive for my taste. Even Iwata Hi-line HP-TH is to expensive considering the price of Mr Procon Boy LWA Trigger Airbrush (PS-290). So, I can just add confused smiley here, cause I am really confused about those pistol grip airbrushes. :confused:

I don’t know that the difference in nozzle size would be that noticeable unless a specific size of flake was involved. Does this one also have the option of a Fan tip like the 290?

I don't have this particular Sparmax, but can guess based on what I have already played with, that this brush is very similar to the Iwata Neo TRN (which I do have). I would guess that it works pretty darn well for the given price. I have been quite pleased with the performance and abilities I have found in the Neo TRN (but, mine is a smaller nozzle size than the Sparmax). Now, in comparing with the Creos GSI PS290 - unless I really needed to move more paint, or was working with a larger flake or pigment size, I would probably tick with he PS290. The reasons I would make that choice is that I am sure that the PS290 will atomomize finer, and lay down a more even layer of paint. Add the option of the fan cap, and the PS290 is a tough one to beat in that particular size range. The only thing the much more expensive Iwata TH has on it is a built in MAC valve - aside from the valve they are 90% (or more) the same parts.

Husky, Are you looking at buying one? May I ask, If you are, what your looking to do with it?

Omg, you AAD guys lol

To be honest I check from time to time what is new and I noticed that airbrush so I sad to my self, maybe someone find it interesting. Right now I need other stuff. For example guides how to spray on paper, cause spraying on paper is a whole different game for me :rolleyes: But jord if I would buy something just for the sake of AAD which I don't have! I think I would go with PS290. I like that fan cap. But maybe we have some member which can't put that extra 40 pounds I think for PS290 and Sparmax would be a nice cheaper option.

Us? AAD? Your imagining things....

But jord if I would buy something just for the sake of AAD which I don't have! I think I would go with PS290.

PS290 is great! You don't have to hide your AAD from us mate, we are all supportive and we love you whatever you buy :)

For larger spraying I brought these as they are very inexpensive but can move quite a bit of paint.

This one is a K-3 and has a 0.5 setup. They work quite well, I gave SiRoxx a spare I had a few years ago. Can't remember why he wanted one.

This one has a 1.5 setup with a fan cap and moves a LOT of paint. Could be a F75 or W71 not sure of the difference.

Also in Red We all know red ones are faster :)

Scroll down the list for the red one :)

Obviously not as precise as airbrushes but work to a good standard.
