Well after almost 19 month of been a father, I finally was able to have some time for me and paint something!!

    Painted with:
    Schoellerhammer n4 A4
    Schmincke Aero Color
    H&S Infinity and Olympos MP-200A
    +- 10 hours

I’m happy with the end result but I know that I s...k at highlighting, I tried to erase but doesn’t went so good with this paper, I tried to use white paint but was a pain in the a.., so I used FB polychromos at the end. Hope you like it and critics are very welcome.

Looks great, shame about the little black spots, maybe someone has an idea to correct them? Maybe you could paint another leaf over them?

It looks really good. Is n4 the same as #4 or °4? If it is, then erasing is possible IF the paint was not thinned too much and pulled into the fibres. I would make the dots a feature. Just drop some bigger drops over them. It's easy with the pipette in the bottles.

Yes @AndreZA it is #4, next time I had some time to paint will try with a few coats of acrylic varnish on the paper.

Erasing (highlights) would definitely bring the frog forward. The picture would look more realistic.

Also working with transparent over reduced paint would add more depth, let's say over reduced yellow on the jaw. You can see yellow tint there and at lower body also.

But anyway, it's good work, especially after long break:thumbsup:

Varnish is not needed. A sharp blade, good eraser and proper application of the paint is enough.

I use both #4 250gsm sheets and 4G 1000gsm boards and I can not tell the difference. My sheets comes in a pad and the front of the paper is smoother than the back. I even make a point to mark the back when I tear it out of the pad just to make sure.

    Excellent job!!
Regarding the Schöllershammrr I also had problems with erasing /scratching as the surface came off using a scalpel. Now I use Ampersand Claybord and it is fantastic.
