I am putting some thought into getting an ultrasonic cleaner but I honestly have no knowledge of them, what the differences in them are, what’s needed for airbrush cleaning with one.

Because the cleaner will get in the air chamber and stay causing a disaster while painting. Also certain cleaners will cause the rubber O rings to swell. The last thing would be the need to re lube the trigger with Petroleum jelly like Vasoline.
What I do is a thorough cleaning of the head and paint chambers and never let it sit with paint more than a half hour. If you get clumped paint in the nozzle or head soak the head and nozzle in Createx Restorer. ONLT THE HEAD NOT THE BODY. Use q-tips, dental brushes and a airbrush cleaning brush set.
