normally people do this half a loop or one loop at a time, I think you would find loosing a quarter of the spring is to much brother

I know... I thought about it after I posted that.. I'll take a lil off at a time until I come to a comfortable tension. I don't think I'll play with the spring until I get to know my brush a bit more perhaps.

I think I'll try chopping my spring a lil.. How much did u cut off Red Baron? About a quarter of it?

I cut two spring curls off. Also to set up how I have mine. screw your needle chuck all the way in, then wind out two turns. I find that this is really comfortable for me.
