If you already had an iwata hp-cs, and wanted another airbrush under $200, which airbrush would you choose? Another iwata hp-cs?

Depends on what you wanted your second brush to do LOL, finer lines, courser lines, be a syphon feed or a gravity feed..Paint T-Shirts or automotive or fine art???? LOL I'm sure ya get the gist of what I'm saying, what do you need your new airbrush to do that your old one doesn't and then we may be able to throw a better thought or two out there.. :)

Agree, with the others, if you just want to have another brush to have more than one colour on the go, the definately another hp-cs. But if it's for something more specific, then another brush that specialises in that area would be better as the hp-cs is an all rounder.

Lol.. That sonar looks nice. I like that its black so you don't have to worry about the chrome scratching or coming off. I just bought some house of color candy paints. Most of the bottles are not sealed, I thought that was a little weird. Is that normal?

Where did you buy them from? small sets from Coast Airbrush , or large casns?
Also make sure you are not using them in a house where you live ISO's can stay in the air, You need a paint booth with full filter system and a mask to use them .

I bought them from tgp global and the 4oz bottles have no seal. The 2oz bottles have a seal but they are broken. I have a paint respirator mask and planning to use in my garage with a fan blowing in a indirect direction. Good enough? I want a paint booth along with a million other things but trying to make due with the minimum kinda.

No not really
You need to filter the ISO out of the air the fan will just keep it in the air,
You might get by cracking your door, and have the fan blowing out a window and of course warn family members to stay out. Don't forget about over spray it will go everywhere

Oh, almost forgot,
You need to make sure,,,... if you have central heat and air that neither pulls air from the garage, and keep in mind that things in that room will get dusted

coast airbrush was the only HOK official small quanity supplier TCP global makes there own pre mix bottles they are making a killing off people with them if you order from coast they not mixed which means more product for your money. I would buy the Iwata hp-c+ next doing bikes it will do the crazy detail and it will still work great for pumping out some paint it's a little over $200 but look for coupon codes online you can usually save yourself some money. Great tool to have in your arsenal also look into a grex g-mac quick connect gives all your AB's the mac valve option and allows you to switch easily between airbrushes. If you go the g-mac route save some money and use the iwata hi-performance plus line. you are spraying uro's and these AB's are set up for them. Badger krome 2 in 1 is best bang for the buck AB out right now for your needs. The sotar is nice but your not gonna want that cup if your working on bikes or automotive. If your moving that AB fast you will spill paint. The 2 in 1 is nice because it comes with a .3 and .2 set up large cup and a good lid. Just some options for ya. Hope they help started out similiar working on bikes and automotive.

Tgp global premixes them with intercoat sg100 right? I'm better off buying the paint from coast airbrush, and buying the sg100 separate and mixing them myself? Why does tgp global premix it with intercoat instead of the reducer?

They premix it with intercoat and reducer coast sells candy concentrate two oz. of pre mixed candy doesn't go far. If you are doing real fire coast has kits that come with everything. If you plan to use HOK as your primary paint system for airbrushing order a qt of intercoat clear you will use it allot get a qt or gallon of reducer and a pint of ret@rder stops tip dry add a few drops to your paint cup and mix. Don't forget some smaller bottles those I would order from www.sksbottle.com plastic cylinder bottles with twist top is my preference.

Oh ok. Thank you!! Your full of good info. With my kandy paint, it came with some gold and silver base coat. If I am painting on plastic aside from prepping it and cleaning, flaming it, what's the best way to paint it? Can I do adhesion promoter, then silver base coat, then candy & clear? Or should I use adhesion promoter, then sandable primer, then silver base coat, candy & clear. Any suggestions?
