Which gun to buy??

Hello everyone!! So, Im gonna buy another gun, I already have a pache (dont use, I let the kids play with it) a Master G22 (the one I use). And now, Im looking at a Badger, or a Iwata.
Which one would you recommend, and why? I do both large detail, and some very very tiny details when painting.

I can only recommend going with a quality brand. There are a few, Badger, Iwata, Grex, H&S, Paasche. Since you are in MI, we have plenty of choicesin the US, Badger is in Chicago. Something to keep in mind if there's ever a warranty issue.

You mention doing larger works and small detail. An airbrush with a .3-.5mm nozzle/needle would be a good option, probably a gravity feed. a side feed would also be an option, that way a gravity cup or siphon bottle can be used. Also there is the Badger 360 which has a rotating head assembly allowing a true gravity feed, with a small cup, rotate down or to the side, and you have side feed or siphon available as well.


It eventually all comes down to price, comfort, and what's best for you, which is the hardest thing for someone to advise on . Readily available parts is a key as well.

Hello. I did like you and went with economy airbrushes to get the feel then I wanted to up the game. You get what you pay for. I bought a set of Badger Renegade with three airbrushes, the velocity, the rage and a spirit. Very good product and way better than the G22. The detail brush I decided to get was the Iwata HP-AH with a MAC valve and there is a BIG difference with that one compared to the G22. The Badger airbrushes were way better than the Master. The Iwata HP-AH has a very small paint cup and only my pinkie will fit in there to clean the bowl. I don't think I will ever buy a Master airbrush again. These four give me the versatility to go from large to very fine in details. Check out some of my work.
 
Quality for a great price = badger plus you can get all different size nozzles. I have the renegade series also. That's 3 brushes for the price of a middle ground iwata.
Now with that said, I love my iwatas, but if I could do it again I would have started with badger because of the price and results.
In the end it only boils down to opinion an your wallet :)

O kay being I am just going to type this off the title..

McMillan 50 Cal.. Most bang for the buck , Unless you do not like shooting something that kicks like a full grown mule..
Than a nice carbine works really well , But it does help to know and help you better if I know what game you are going after..

The Iwata CS is a workhorse. can go from large to pretty tight detail in the right hands. But that is the same with any airbrush.
My hands not so right so that is why I bought a micron. But also depends on long term budget... Badger is more affordable on parts
And lets not exclude the trusty Paasche VL, or Talon.
mainly it is what you feel fits your shooting style the best and feels good in your hand.

But any of the brand name airbrush will serve you and your needs ..

Thanks you guys. I dont really need a new one? I just WANT another one lol!! What mama wants, mama gets!! (yeah ok lol) I started with the Pache, with the changeable screw tips (believe it or not) It PI**ED me off, so that is how I ended up with the Master G22. It was a kit, so I bought it. I guess it really boils down to what one you like. As I get more experienced, I just thought it would be nice to move up in the Big Kids World lol. I have watched videos with Iwata, and Badger, and they just seem to flow so nice. (Not that I have ever recorded mine lol) I will decide soon, before my hubbs changes his mind :)
 
I have the Patriot 105 it work great on large areas and on fine detail.
I also have a Krome it also works on both but really awesome on fine detail.
I think it all depends on what you are comfortable with I also have a cheap knock-off and a Harbor Freight $20.00 one that I can get detail with (with lots of practice and time). It all boils down to how easy and how fast can you adapt to a gun. The Krome was it for me. First time I shot paint out of it I was drawing super fine lines and it fit my hand perfect.

Now for a question from me.

LMAO , My Neighbor's wife did that this year , She got all spooked , She said when she released she jerked cause a doe jumped just as she was releasing..
Of course her husband and I still give her a hard time..
And play the song 30 point buck...LMAO

Mey meeshel, if you go for an Iwata, and want an all rounder that can also do real fine detail , then I recommend the eclipse hp-cs. I have 2 of them and love them to bits, they are the only brush I use. I am lusting after a micron (not Mr Micron, he is on a pedestal where I can worship from afar), but without robbing a bank............... The hp-cs, is a lot of gun for the money, and worth every penny!

Thanks Squishy. I was looking at the Iwata hp-cs. Like I said I love my gun..just wanted to try something different.
 
Damn I wish I would have drawn out on a turkey this year. And Rabbit stew or chili does sound good.

Drawn out ,, What turkey is a lotto system in Utah?
I can get two toms and six hens .. But I usually just get what I know we will eat during the year. which is 3:D

Rabbit and Squirrel has no limit but gives great target practice when you use a 22 to shoot em...
Plus Morel Mushrooms will be popping up before to much longer and nothing beats a fried morel mushroom sandwich
 
Almost every thing is a lotto in Utah. It has gotten that way the last few years. You could understand some of the rules and regulations if it was to help get more wildlife in the state. But some of the things they do is down right stupid.
