I've decided long ago when the summer arrives to decorate my exterior room. It's made with these sandwich panels thingy and was wondering what paint shouls I use? Waterbourne i assume is out of the question, so what should it be?

The Createx Scenix line is supposed to be very good for external applications. I’ve no idea how it shapes up in terms of cost, but I’d guess it’s more than an automotive paint. That would be my next suggestion, Automotive Urethane and 2k Clear. I’d guess with a decent primer it would be fine over wood.

thanx for your help @SiRoxx , Yeah it would be awesome to try scenix but it's just for me and trying a lot bigger scale artwork that I'm used to, so I'll try a bit cheaper paint...Ain't urethane gonna stink all over the place?

Maybe yeah. I’d guess it’s going to be down to the primer. What type of surface are you going to paint?

Polyurethane panel? I think that's it's name. it's made with thin sheet of metal outside (both sides) and polyurethane? foam between.

I know Autoair, Wicked and Illustration paints gets used for cars, bikes and stuff. As long as there’s a decent 2k Clear over top they should last outside as well as most other paint.

It's all about budget and expectations.
You could go primer (etching if aluminum)
Then whatever you like. Rust oleum, exterior house paint, urethane, wicked , whatever you want.
Even artist acrylics if you use the right colors.

Hey @Robbyrockett2 , thanks for the info.
Seems I'd go primer first cause it's like powder coated I think (It's got that greyish matt finish to it).
I was planning to go with exterior house paint for the large surfaces and use wicked for any detailed stuff later on...
    Will that work?
