White candy2o

I have a stool. It has a nice round wooden top that I prepared and painted with autoborn sealer silver (mtallic). On top of that I made some dark graphics. Mostly using candy2o. My question is if there is a good way to add highlights on top of a metallic color? I cant find a white candy2o. If I use opaqe white it looks weird. It is as if the shininess of the metallic is removed where the white is applied and the white highlights can almost look dark from some angles. Or look like dirt stains. And no I am not referring to the issue of bleeding candy. I get this effect when i spray white on metallic. It looks flat! Is there a workaround or should I learn to live with it? šŸ¤”

Hello,

Createx has a transparent white (5131). You could also use transparent base and add some drops of opaque white.
Hope this helps!

Thanks,
Ismael

I think that there is no solution, the metallic reflection when it reflects looks white and white is already white, therefore you will always see a white spot that will have a very ugly effect when held back to light, I don't know No "candy" white per se and I understand that white is the only color that is never transparent like the rest. I have encountered this problem and it is frustrating, because it looks very ugly, perhaps you could use a metallic silver color that is lighter than the metallic base that you used for the background and that way that white halo would not be seen.

Thank you! Good to know I am not missing anything! I will make a test-piece and try the different options of alternative whites. The hot rod white with a tint of opaqe has my bet! ā˜ŗļø
