Lee, you asked for outstanding airbrush artists. My earlier reply missed the point,

Here is one fine art painter who uses primarily airbrush that I find outstanding: http://www.rolandmikhail.com/ He creates hyperreal paintings with incredible detail that have a dreamlike quality.

And, @AndreZA is right - there are many Russian artists and illustrators with exceptional work.

Airbrush artists - My first influences would of been Peter Lloyd, Stanley Mouse(Journey album covers), and Doug Johnson(Early Judas Priest album covers, space dust candy). Craig Fraser and Dennis Mathewson, couple others like Doc from the old forum, That Ivan guy with the crazy van, all those ABers back in the day that sprayed murals on vans and t-shirts.

I'll just throw some artist I dig in a ball -

    Frazetta
    Albrecht Durer
    Ed "big Daddy" Roth
    Don Monteverde
    Brom
Jack Davis(and all the MAD magazine artists)
    Kinukoy Craft
    Robert Williams
    The Pizz
    Micheal Whelan
    John Jude Palencar
    Phil Hale
    Kent Williams
    Von Franco
    William Stout
    Peter Deseve
    Omar Rayyan

    I'm sure I'll think of more later:D

This is one of my favourites from Comic book artist Alex Ross. It’s a really cool image. 2A9149A8-E0F9-4011-8BEC-F931BE8104F5.jpeg

A few more artists I'd not heard of. Theyre great!

I forgot another artist, Brom, he does gothic stuff..

I got my book from Godmachine and I also brought a book called Dungeons & Dragons Art & Arcana: A Visual History which has all the old D&D artwork in it.

They weigh a ton between them, lots of pictures to look at, no reading, im not great at that I get too distracted and lose my place.. Not on lockdown yet, so still having to ride, coming home drained and falling asleep. No chicken strips on my tyres though.. :)

I’ll bet they do! You don’t want too many words in a book of art. I don’t imagine the chicken strips last long on any of your tyres do they? LOL.
