Hello,

As stated in the title will I get good results with a 0.2mm nozzle and createx colors? How will the pearl and metallic work? I guess that it will need some thinning for the opaques and transparents and I've got both transparent and opaque base for that. I'm currently painting detail with a 0.3mm nozzle but it's a cheap knockoff and I got the chance to buy an Iwata HP-AH for an absolute bargain. I originally had my eye set on an eclipse, but when I got the chance to buy this one I could not resist, even if I didn't make sure to verify it worked with my colors first! Worst case I'll just put it up for sale again, or change the colors I'm using...

Which Creates color? Standard Createx textiles or Createx Wicked line or Createx Illustration ?
Standard Createx Not really mainly due to pigment size you would have tip dry and clogging
Createx Wicked line Yes
Createx Illustration Yes
Createx Auto Air yes
Createx Candy O2 yes.
Now that your question is answered run a long to the introduction section and make a proper introduction.https://www.airbrushforum.org/introductions/
Mainly other then what airbrush you bought we no nothing about you or what use you have for the airbrush.

‘Createx Airbrush colors’ are the standard textile paint that mr.micron is refering to

Pearls and metallics generally require a .5 as a minimum to perform at their best, I have mixed results with a .35 Eclipse

I have around 25 or so of the standard colors and 6 or 7 wicked. So I can use some atleast.

If you have metallic's in the wicked I would try them but thin them quite a bit, 1 paint - 5 thinner/reducer and maybe 25psi then see how it goes, I've sprayed Spectra-Tex metallic's through my HP- B which is a 0.2 nozzle.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm about to create a new thread with more paint discussions so hopefully I'll see you over there. :)

Original Createx Colors is a larger pigment that was originally developed for t-shirts and tags. And yes they flow best through a .3 to .5 mm needle nozzle. You will have more success with Createx Wicked Color but better success with Createx Illustration, Com Art or E’tac EFX.
