Just purchased the Streaming version of Craig Fraser at Stan Winston school, its around 5 hours long and covers the basics and advanced techniques. I love the way Craig teaches his cratf, I have been doing his exercises for better control and was great to watch him strip his gun down and clean it.
I havent watched it all yet but seen around 2hrs of it and found loads of tips n tricks.
Its $60US so not cheap, but compared to a course it is :)
    Cool

Craig is one cool dude and has been in the business a long time. He has his own style and offers some cool tricks ,
His was one of the first airbrush forums I joined and I have had many talks with him not only in the forum but in email and phone calls too.
His site is shutting down now to to the most are using FB and such and the backers he had pulled the plug on it.
But C&C was harsh for the most part there but everyone knows the truth hurts sometimes and it did help me grow.
But being harsh also kept active members down some at least that is my take on it . But the artist who where there are some of the most talented folks I had ever seen then Mitch build this place and some of the art work here is just mind blowing on the talent.
But I own a lot of Craig's videos and have learn something off all of them .

Airbrush has fluctuated so much over the years. I can state a lot of names that some may not even know. I started back in 77 in my bedroom with a diaphragm compressor an a Passhe H. 1984 I spent my first summer doing T Shirts professionally. Some days I wish I were still in Florida painting. Maybe then I would not have trashed my health so much. I haven't been painting for 2 years now but wanted to get back on the horse just for fun and funny thing is I am back painting in my bedroom. Strange the way things work that way.

All done, its not a typical video where you just watch him paint - you do towards the end though. There is a small amount of Q&A from random people watching on the net asking questions which are interesting. I will definatly watch it a few times, especially certain chapters about the basics and maintaince of the guns. I feel that it was worth the $80AU for the info

It was because of that Frankenstein video I got inspired to airbrush. Craig's so real and down to earth. I Loved it!

Thanks for this, 5 hours wow this sounds like it's worth the money, think I'll get the dvd, Craig Fraser is a badass, I'm also a fan of Dennis Mathewson.

I found Fraser's forum by time it was already going down, but there's still a wealth of info there, one painter's thread - Doc Cyber, blew my mind, his paint jobs took me back to the 70's as a kid, totally a lost way of painting back then with the van culture and people painting from the hip, love to see that style come back.

Doc , Craig , Redhouse, JBKustoms ,kill kustoms just to name a few of the members there when I first started airbrushing . Craig's forum was the first one I ever joined. Their C&C was brutal but honest (a few of them even almost made me just give up) But Then I found the light here at the Orange :D
I do still stop in to one see if it is still there Craig is hosting it right now out of his own pocket , and two to see what everyone there has been up too over the years.
In it's hey day Craig's forum was the place to be but if you were a newbie like I was back then it was also a harsh place to be at times LOL

As a teenager in the 80's working in body shops up in Cleveland it was all about some tough love, especially starting out as the grunt of the shop you took some ribbing and had to have some thick skin, fun times though looking back.

Not doing FB for anything that belongs in a forum, it's not a good platform to hold an in-depth discussion, digging the positive vibe here I'm sticking around for a while:thumbsup:

Now you are making me feel nostalgic. I can still feel the excitement of being just married 2 days earlier and pulling into Destin Beach Florida to meet Mark Rush back in 1984 and find out where I was going to be airbrushing. My wife and I walked up and down Ft Walton Beach strip looking at all the airbrushers sitting in their chairs at easels painting Beach scenes talking with customers and thinking I am about to start something that was my dream job. Then summer started and the shop I was at kept making us take our sign down so I made so little money that we were homeless eating peanut butter sandwiches. But I tell you there were some real talented guys painting away and I was there. Then my wife wanted the come home to where her and my family were. But I never gave up and now I get to share my work and knowledge with all you good folk and see new up and comers.

In the 70's and 80's I was in the military so I know all about ribbing and having thick skin. But yes Mitch started this with the moto spread the love , So we try our best to say positive things about everything . We are honest but in a nice way .
But painting cars I did a lot of growing up and helping my dad paint cars to help earn extra cash so I would have enough gas money to drag race (old school street for pinks ) on the weekend . Dad always wondered why I had so many cars to sell after a week end LOL. The good old days.
