Restoring a Thayer & Chandler Model A

I'm curious what applications you guys use your Model A for. I got it up and running last night (courtesy of your advice and know-how!), and I was super-impressed with how fine the atomization was - it reminded me of a Micron while being seemingly more versatile and not nearly as finicky.
I use mine for illustration work. Because the atomization is so fine, it makes a really good brush for shading as well as detail work.

The patina of usage that you find on older airbrushes like this one is something I find fascinating. Someone had it for years, used it and took care of it. I have several airbrushes that have this patina and I always wonder about the person and what they used it for.
One of the joys of collecting old airbrushes is coming across jewels like this.
One thing I've noticed, as Dave mentioned, is that the ones that have this patina of love and usage are very well taken care of.
