How to paint blonde hair?

Hi guys I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with this. I am in the process of painting a big female Halo spartan figure and would like to try and do the hair similar to Spartan Kai 125 which has blonde hair with red streaks at the front. I have tried to do a combination of Vallejo silver mixed into gold which just doesn't look right at all .

This is the colours I would like to try and emulate if it is possible.

You could try some light grey with a bit of yellow mixed in, that might get You close

There is also Golden colours mixer for those who use golden paints, You can set the drop down menu to golden high flow for a better mixing ratio, You can also upload a pic to the golden one and it will give You the mixing ratios for the colour You pick using the colour picker, which is very handy
