Stripped handle repair?

I made an adaptor out of steel filled epoxy putty called Kneed-it I used a silicone mould release spray can and gave it a light coat.
I packed the bottom with plasticine putty to give a square bottom.
I started by rolling out beads1 to 1.5mm diamenter I layed a spiral and pushed onto the threads with 3mm tig rod leftover, then made small discs a millimeter or two thick and massaged it onto the spiral I had pushed onto the theads.
Once it was level with the top I made a disc about 4mm thick. I then twisted it on the packed threaded cup till I felt it grab to the rest of the epoxy after 24 hours it just screwed off with just a little effort to crack it.
I drilled a 4mm hole in it to suit the pipe i use for a gravity feed line.
Worked very well for 8 to 12 months till I cut down the small cup to the thread and back filled that with Kneed-it and holed it.
Since I purchased an Iwata RG3 I haven't used the old set up.
