Lately it's been my high performance + ch and my micron sb with szolt .18 needle and soft spring. My other 10 Iwata guns sit in the closet now.

    Hi guys,

I am currently using Delta High Output Compressor Set, it is an Australian brand(thatwhat I 've been told).
    It's
quiet, smooth running and it also includes moisture trap and filter, pressure guage and regulator so no complain yet. If you guys would like to know further here's the link http://www.bnamodelworld.com/delta-dl86001-airbrush-high-output-compressor-set-86001

Planning to get another Paasche but seen too much of comparison, could you guys give some advice. Thanks

I currently have in my studio 5 Iwata HP-Cs, 3 Iwata HP-Bs, 4 Iwata HP-BCs, 1 Iwata HP-BE1, 1 Olympos HP-888, 6 paasche VLs, 2 paasche Hs, 1 paasche AB, and 1 paasche V. All in good working order despite most of them being over 30 years old. I also just purchased a paasche Talon this week. Despite what my wife says, I am not a hoarder. Really.

An update on the Talon. Used it this week. Not a bad airbrush at all, and very good when you factor in the cost. However, it is not as responsive as my iwatas. I also found that iwata still makes needles and tips for my airbrushes, so its looking like I will be keeping them.

I love VLs, but they do have a design weak spot. If air is escaping from the aircap body, it makes it so you can't get a consistent fine line (skipping). Most people try to tighten down the aircap to fix this, but you wind up stripping the threads and making the air leak worse. If you wrap tephlon tape around the airbrush body's threads, and then put the aircap back on with just enough pressure to make sure it does not come off, you can seal it and get it to spray without skipping.

I own a couple very old guns, both siphon fed. I have a Badger 150 that is at least 25 + years old, and a Paasche VL I have had since High School. (I graduated in 82), I have added a Paasche Talon and 2 Precision Aire Treo XF guns to the collection.

I do this as a mod to all my guns, along with clipping the trigger springs.
